Virtual Meeting between the Artificial Intelligence Council of Tajikistan and Mistral AI 🇫🇷

On June 20, 2025, the Artificial Intelligence Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan held a virtual meeting with representatives of Mistral AI — one of Europe’s leading developers of generative AI models.

During the meeting, the Tajik side presented key priorities for the development of the national AI ecosystem, with a focus on the implementation of the National AI Development Strategy through 2040.

The two sides agreed to explore potential cooperation across three main areas. These include the development of a joint roadmap in the field of AI, with Mistral AI’s potential participation in projects leveraging green-powered compute infrastructure. The parties also discussed opportunities for expanding Mistral’s presence in Central Asia through partnerships within the Area AI technopark. A dedicated segment of the discussion was focused on research collaboration in the field of synthetic data.

The AI Council will continue to deepen its engagement with international research labs and technology companies to secure access to cutting-edge solutions and foster a sustainable AI ecosystem for Tajikistan and the wider region.
