Today, Azizjon Azimi, Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, held a video conference with the founders and leadership of DataDirect Networks (DDN) - one of the world’s leading companies in data storage and analytics solutions for high-performance computing (HPC). Representatives from the AI Council attended a meeting with DDN executives in Paris on the occasion of NVIDIA's international GTC conference.
DDN, with a market valuation of over $5 billion and backed by investors such as Blackstone, provides scalable infrastructure solutions for AI data centers that support scientific, industrial, and technological projects around the world.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed potential collaboration in deploying next-generation computing solutions in the Republic of Tajikistan. Particular emphasis was placed on building sustainable infrastructure as part of the national initiative darya.ai, which aims to develop Central Asia’s first green AI compute cluster.
The parties also discussed preparations for signing a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding, scheduled for June 25 this year, as part of the official launch of the H200 GPU-based AI cluster in Tajikistan.
